Presents from Brazil

Today the postman brought me a surprising present sent all the way from Brazil to rainy Germany. It contained the latest issue of Catarina magazine - first issue that was being distributed internationally - in which I was featured next to a handful of other awesome fashionistas we all know from LOOKBOOK.nu
Thank you so much Catarina [Click to view their website].

I DO believe the Collective Unconscious exists

leblog223

I am the rain
Held in disdain
Lotions and potions just add to my fame
The rime that in Spain
Fall on the plain
The truth is I'm ruthless I can't be contained
...
Up in the sky we've demand to supply
I am necessity, base of the recipy
I'm the rain...

Can you believe I've already finished my kinda-like-Rodarte-inspired-knitted dress?? Ahhh I'm so glad it turned out very nice and not as a waste of wool throwaway thing xD It took me about 2 weeks to knit this piece, starting at the neck and then slowly working myself down, always adding a couple of knits every new row, so that in the end it turned out REALLY FUCKIN' wide at the lowest part!
I didn't use too small needles but also not the biggest, maybe 10'' and I knitted on a round needle of course, but I knitted it in a VERY loose way, regularly losing my knits off the needle! But I managed to somehow finish it anyway, so I'm really glad!
By the way, for the real Rodarte look, you just gotta wear the dress left side out, and thus, never forget to have any threads hanging out on that side!
Next? Maybe some knitted tights? We'll see, yippeh yeah!!

The location of this photo shoot with my wonderful sister? Our parents' garden... it's such a paradise in spring when everything is in bloom and almost seems to be too much for the garden to cope with... but it's not of course! It's the most relaxing place I can think of and I enjoy relaxing there as often as time and weather allows me :)

Hey, are you really bored? I mean, really, REALLY bored? Well, I got the cure... hop over to chictopia and read my article, first one ever for the "world ugly" edition, wahouuuuuu!!

Very suitable to the just mentioned article, I bought me this pair of Ash Italia Wedges for a very agreeable price on ebay UK last night:

My bf wasn't convinced when he saw the picture, but he WILL be once he sees them in real life. They just have to be shipped here from England first of all... AND mon homme has to come here, too... mehwp!!

Why do older people always have to watch nature documentaries???

I found this cute purple vintage blazer while browsing BLOGIMARKET (a place where bloggers who sell their stuff on their own blogs gather and post their fo-sale-stuff on a blog only built for that reason!) and held it in my hands only a few days later. The colour and quality is really stunning as it is nearly pure viscose fabric and thus falls really nicely down the shoulders. BUT speaking of shoulders, as it is apparent that I do not have the intention to revive the 80s in a too purist way, I simply had to modify the width of the blazer at the shoulders AND of course remove the horrible shoulder-pads ;) But now it's perfect, I have been wearing it for the last three days, it seems almost glued on me :D

PS.: It's Orthodox easter sunday today and since my boyfriend lives in an Orthodox Christian country, happy easter to whom it may concern ;)

PPS.: Rodarte-Inspired-Knitting will be finished soooooooooooooon, wiii!!

PPPS.: The cool background for these pics is my old high-school! Oh well, good old school days... :)

Knit me, kitty

Today, uni starts again - ugh! But I spend the early morning hours just as the last few days - knitting! It's really quite addictive... and knitting in this super-loose way, you see results so much sooner than with 'normal' knitting, so it's great for people like me: with NO patience whatsoever!
Haha, I wish you another wonderfully sunny day as it is here!

Details on how I knitted this piece will follow once it is finished! :D

I've always known I must be a little bit crazy... not only did I realize that since my boy's mother asked me this exact sentence (isn't it great to know that you're loved? haha) but yep, inspired and kinda mentally supported by the wonderful and incredibly creative Shini from PARK & CUBE, I also dared to do it: last night I started knitting a black/red/silver/beige jumper inspired by the famous and perfect Rodarte shit ;) and let me tell you, wool is certainly NOT cheap in this country, damnit! But anyway, at least I got something to do now to keep me from eating or buying unneccessary things xD

I'm wearing this really cool vintage batwing sleeve sweater today that I found on ebay a while ago... it has a beautiful stitching detail showing a DEVIL PEACOCK!! haha... well, it must be, look at his eye!!! Scary, innit?
And then these Topshop leggins - tsk tsk... I dunno, they're cool, but you really have to combine them wisely cos they're so disco shiny crazy that it can very quickly look like it's "too much" :) and anyway, certainly too warm for today's weather! I had to change to shorts again later on!

Sorry bout the ranting, the heat is supporting my mindflow... maybe!

Ahoy! Summerly greetings from Bremen I should say, although I'm already back home at this point! For easter saturday, we went up north to spend the sunny day at my grandma's and had lunch and cakes with her and my grandaunt at their place. Earlier, we went along the Weser (Bremen's famous river :D) and took a stroll down the quay! There was a huge flea market but not too many great finds yesterday I must say - why don't they sell clothing on too many German flea markets? Or at least nice accessoires? Nah, too bad...

I customised this teeshirt on friday night, as I had told you, and it turned out so cute to my eyes. Well, the blue shirt was actually a size XL knit plain tee that I made smaller in its shape by adding a double layer on both sides front (where you can see the vertical seams) and back. Then I pulled up the sleeves a bit and fixed them with two golden apple-shaped buttons on both sides (so cute, innit??) and finally added some white cotton neck decoration which reminds me a lot of 200 years ago fashion! I adore this shirt, although unfortunately it is a wee bit short for a tall girl like me to be worn as a dress. Anyone under 1,65 m could possibly wear it without shorts and leggins underneath!

Today another sunny day and still not tired of it - wheeheee!!

Apologies for welcoming you on my blog today smiling at you with my butt, BUT that's what basically today's outfit was all about! I got round to actually copying the studded Bess jeans posted on J&J some weeks earlier, but since it's spring disguised as summertime, I *had* to stud the backside of a pair of very old H&M bleached denims I turned into quite ripped shorty-shorts. I love this simple DIY, and the shorts made my legs feel nice and fresh with the wind floating around them today.
By the way, if you notice any kinda fat belly peeking out of my sweater - I had the most wonderful BBQ just ten minutes before! I am still full!!
I stole this lovely feather hair-comb from my mother, it's so cute, innit? Only bugger: It keeps on falling out! It's just a mini-comb after all :)

I think I'll spend my evening customising an old teeshirt I found in a second-hand. I want to turn it into a cute dress to maybe wear tomorrow when we meet my granny in Bremen for easter lunch and coffe :D More eating, dude! Means a lot of stepping ahead of me - aahhhrrggss!

Alright, alright, wining about missing Belgrade and all that doesn't quite help, I got it! And it's easy to feel great at home in Hannover, too because we got the most summerly weather you could only imagine here as well! I spent most of the day outside in my folks' garden, laughing at my dad trying to set up a framework thingie for some climbing plant and eating all kinds of sweets while being all voyeurist. It really quite feels like holidays here as well, hihi...
Meh oh my, I'm obsessed with the 80s vintage boots I found on ebay! They are like TEHHH perfect boots... walking in them I feel like the king of the world! Haha, just look at the awesome detail in the leather, it's so pretty!

There's a new banner. I was drawing it with ink and a feather, can you imagine! It was fun, it's actually quite easy to do! Hope you enjoy, because I do!
