-You think passing an exam will make me happy?
-Cassie, passing exams generally makes things only more complicated. But there's lots of other stuff that makes life bearable, and you don't even have to use a knife.
-Like?

Current obsession of mine? Skins!!! (Thanks Pascal :P) Don't feel like watching season 3, though. I want the old cast to continue!!!

Friday at 9 PM outside is the most marvellous thing ever!

PS.: Since many of you have been asking for a tattoo-close-up post, I will try to do that in the near future!!!! :) Thanks for all your lovely comments - ALWAYS <33

Yeh yeh, finally some outfit pics again - I know it's been a while but there was just too much around me happening to actually come down to takin pictures and all.
Anyway, yesterday's shopping results: a pretty Zara light blue cotton dress, a lovely leather Zara bag and new black leggins (have been in desperate need of a new pair of those!!) My sister wanted to go downtown shopping for a new shirt or two - she ended up buying a pair of platform heels instead, haha!

Today we went to some garden show in the Herrenhausen gardens and it was fun, lots of people selling their kitsch garden stuff and some fashion design students presenting their works at a little fashion show. Was cute.
Bought myself two cute coffee mugs there, with an English roses print on the outside. Love.

[dress, bag, leggins: Zara, wayfarers: ebay, lace-up suede ankle boots: Topshop]

Have a nice weekend!

Summertime, hey hey!

leblog550

As promised before (whether you want it or not :P) some pics of the dk fashion show on saturday. Some of the dresses were really quite cute! I myself ordered a very cute heart-print dress from Topshop yesterday, can't wait till it arrives!

Photo credit, as always, goes to Isabelle Schernus, my sister and phtographer :) It was her job to take pics at that show, I was just watching and enjoying the benefits of being allowed backstage (free beer, haha) as her companion, too xD

(love how the colours of the left side outfit are totally recuced to dark green and black)

(They were acting as dolls - did a great job doing so!)

(When I saw that silver full-length dress, I was speechless. Even though I'm usually not keen on long dresses, this one has such a nice pattern and a very heavy fabric, I'd definitely wear it on a special occasion!)

(I'm in love with that soft grey cardigan-blazer thingie. SO perfect!!!)

Again, thanks Isa for lending me the pics!!

Coffee Break

Well, so sorry for not having posted in the last couple of days - there's lots of personal stuff going on that I'm not happy about, that is frustrating and worrying me and also stressing me outtt.
Regardless of that, tonight I went to a fashion show by DESIGN KOMBINAT, my sister was photographer there and her friend one of the models. It was such a nice show, lots of colourful dresses and great music, too! Hope to post some pictures of it in the near future :) All in all, we had a great time there with lots of great people.

Hope everybody is enjoying their weekend!
And thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much everybody for the lovely birthday wishes, I can't thank you all enough, you rock this blog!!!

Tomorrow I'll be one year older but it'll still feel the same

leblog539

So if you guys want, you can send me cakes, candles, balloons, kirkwood shoes or a miu miu bag, it'll all be fine xD It's nothing special turning 22, though... I can already vote, smoke, drink alcohol, drive... it's just about growing older and greyer these days :D

I love wearing this straw hat, even though it's another one from the collection of one-of-my-favourite-too-big-for-my-head hats! But since there is hardly any wind today, it was no problem wearing it... with this kinda sailor-girl outfit!
Have a lovely day!

I spent my sunday re-working a second-hand blazer I found on ebay for €1! It was a size 40/UK 14 so I had to make it a loooot smaller, cut off at least 6 cm on both sides (had to basically open the whole blazer, remove the sleeves and sew them back on and all) but it was worth it because before, the blazer had a very strong Angela Merkel touch to it, but now with the puff-sleeves and all it became at least 30 years younger! It's so good, I've searched for a light blue blazer for like... ever! So here it is, and I'm in love with it :)
Also finally found an opportunity to wear my circus-artiste-like Topshop dotted leggins - teamed with my DIY studded jeans shorts!

For a change, le boyfriend took my pics today. It was a bit of an adventure, him trying to handle the manual focus on my sister's digital reflexive, but in the end, at least some of the pics turned out okay :D

Ready? Set? You'll be able to shop my closet - soon!!!

Yes indeed, I believe that selling my clothing on my blog rather than on ebay (as I used to do before) might just be more efficient and also be better and easier to find than browsing ebay for ages. I'll open my teeny tiny blog-shop very very soon, so stay tuned guys, there will be some amazing stuff on there! (Including the Rodarte-inspired knit-dress, cos I already started knitting a second one, haha)

Until then, a little bit of picture and literature... Salomé by Oscar Wilde.

Yeah, alright, I love putting a pretty black and white picture (my sister was experimenting with the functions of her cam again today, so she produced some nice black and white ones, too) and a nice quote underneath to the begging of a blog entry.
I'm wearing my lovely brown Pete-hat which I got on the sale for only 9 €, it's such a nice hat but just a tad too big for my head, so it tends to fly away every other minute with this kinda storm outside. But it was great, such a sunny and warm day! Hope it'll be like that for my bithday, too!
Other than that, nothing special to tell today.
Neither can I explain very nicely how I made that knot on my head that I'm wearing on last post's photos - some of you have been asking. I just wrapped them around a rubber band and then once around the knot again, just fixed it with hairspray. I didn't use any kinda fancy sponge rings or whatever to pad it underneath, because I have a LOT of hair anyway, and of a particularly thick kind if I don't straighten it. So there you go, I'm sorry not to be able to explain it better!

Apologies also for hiding my eyes under a block of fringe-shade, the sun was soo heavy :D

My, I think at some point I'll make all my clothing by myself. I feel I'm getting better every time I make a new piece. This time, I felt like sewing me some shorts since I spotted this gorgeous piece of plum coloured silk-like viscose fabric at the store (It was on sale for only €3 for one meter!). It has such a soft feel to it and even while sitting it doesn't seem to get too wrinkled which is nice.
The idea of the sewing these kind of shorts I got from a similar pair of denim shorts I recently saw at asos.com, so without having any idea of the pattern, I just started cutting pieces and stitched them to each other until it looked right to my eyes. Since the fabric is not stretchy at all, I also had to add a zipper and buttons to the front (Which is something I hate hate hate doing - with a passion!) But after about 4 hours, the shorts were complete and finished and yes, I wore them the last 3 days in a row, haha! I also bought the same fabric in a pale blue colour, so I'll see what can be done with that when boredom strikes next time!

Did you know that Plastic Ono Band and Sean Lennon are playing a concert in London on June 14th??? Man, I SOOO wanna go, someone buy me a ticket? (I think it's sold out already anyway... hm)

Have a sunny day!
