On Fashion Week Saturday, Andy Wolf Eyewear presented their new sunglasses collection at the studio in a very nice and easy atmosphere, supported by fashion from Superated.
The sunnies had something for everyone, provided that you like it flashy and exaggerated or finally dare to wear and show off something different and cool for a change, like cat-eye sunnies, Clubmaster shaped glasses or the round Lennon-esque ones in all sorts of colours and with cute glittery effects.
Models, mood and music together with the fashion morphed into a perfect fusion of a time between late 80s and early 90s, somewhere between "The Prince of Bel Air" and David Bowie that I was strangely reminded of throughout the presentation.
The light denim and white sneakers, both sprinkled with colour or black and white striped plastic suits took us on this tiny travel back in time.
I guess this sort of styling is not for every man and I doubt we will be seeing it to such extremes on the streets (at least in Berlin) a lot. Thanks for that because, to be quite honest, I am slightly scared of this very strong comeback of 90s fashion at the moment, even though, yeah, it is kind of fun to watch. It will probably be gone again by next year, anyway.
But I'm quite excited about this sunglasses trend for s/s 2013 - come on guys, dare it!!

Am Fashion Week Samstag wurde im Studio die neue Sonnenbrillenkollektion von Andy Wolf Eyewear gemeinsam mit Mode von Superated in einer angenehm lockeren Atmosphäre präsentiert.
Die Sonnenbrillen boten etwas für jeden Geschmack, vorausgesetzt, man(n) mag es knallig und schrill oder beweist endlich mal wenigstens im Kleinen ein wenig Mut zum Ausgefallenen.
Von glitzer-grün und eckig über türkisfarbene oder gelbe Cat-Eye-Brillen bis hin zu ziemlich runden Brillen mit rotem Rahmen und dunkelblauen Clubmaster-Nerdbrillen war alles vertreten.
Models, Mode, Musik und Sonnenbrillen erinnerten mich an eine perfekte Fusion einer Zeit zwischen den späten 80er und den frühen 90er Jahren. Zwischen „Der Prinz von Bel Air“ und dem Stil von David Bowie bewegte sich der kunterbunte Modestil. Sneakers und hellblaue Jeans-Bomberjacken mit Farbspritzern, schwarz-weiß gestreifte oder gepunktete Plastikanzüge, bunte Shorts und löchrige Netzpullover sowie –hosen und dazu besagte Sonnenbrillen von Andy Wolf nahmen uns mit auf diese kleine Zeitreise.
Auch wenn der knallige Kleidungsstil von Superated wohl eher selten in diesem Extrem auf der Straße anzutreffen sein wird und mir ehrlich gesagt die Rückkehr der 90er-Jahre-Mode etwas Angst macht (obwohl dieses Neo-Retro-Zeugs ja auch irgendwie Spaß macht), freue ich mich doch, dass der Sonnenbrillentrend für s/s 2013 so bunt und auffällig ist. Männer, traut euch was!
