Alcott Event

Some might say that the market is overfed with clothes covering any price range imaginable. You can buy a sweater for €5 at Primark or €5000 from Balenciaga, depending on how much you are able (and willing!) to pay for clothing and how much you value the living conditions of the sweatshop workers and your own health.
I'm not saying that I'm not shopping at Zara or Topshop (too much!), even though I have basically stopped buying things at H&M, but it's all the same of course. I tend to forget washing my new clothes before wearing them out for the first time and that probably makes me a walking canister of pure poison, but that's what Alice Cooper likes to call his favourite girls, anyway, so it probably makes me cool.

On the other hand, there are stores like Alcott. They have just recently opened their first store in Germany, in a shopping mall in Leipzig and it looks beautiful in there!
An Italian family with an affection for all things America and an a clever sense of what their customers want, they are selling clothes at a ridiculously low price range - and still caring about their customer's health.
When I was walking through the store, I smelled literally NOTHING! And if you've ever been to Primark, you know what I'm talking about.
The clothes at Alcott are hip and trendy, focusing on a young audience who don't want to (or simply can't) spend a lot of money on clothes while still wanting to look the part! Of course, these clothes are not made to last forever, but that isn't what young people want, anyway! So this store is adapting the latest trends very quickly so that the customers can own and sport them right away. Pretty cool, huh?

We had the chance to discover the recent men's and women's range that day and as an absolute highlight, we styled each other in Alcott's clothes. I got to style Franzi and she styled myself so look what happened to me: I'v turned into an all-American girl!

Thanks for this cool event, the invitation and the Italian hospitality, Alcott Germany!

...
