Welcome, dearest readers, to the new blog design! I felt it was that time again to update the look of my favourite place in the interwebs, to create a style I am more than content with, that will not disturb the power of the articles but still makes a lot of sense.

The white wooden background is meant to give the impression that you are reading my blog on a coffee table (like a newspaper, you know) and oh how I wish I could see my blog in print version one day. That is probably my biggest dream ever, hehe. So the background is a little more interesting than the plain white from the last years, but it is still calm enough to not disturb the general look of the blog.
The new logo is a whole different story. I've always been content with my logos (the two most iconic ones being the swirly one that first introduced the bunny rabbit and the handwritten one with the more personal touch) but I needed a logo that made more sense! Do you know what I mean?
So I sat down and had a good debate with myself about what my blog and my logo should stand for. My blog is about diversity, not monotony. It's about presenting two sides of the same coin and to prove that some things that you would not expect to go well together are actually much better when they meet. And even if generally, people believe that cats and dogs don't get along very well, sometimes they do!

And that is what I am trying to show you every day: music and fashion, rock'n'roll pirate and prima ballerina, numerous tattoos and designer dresses, Star Trek/Doctor Who fangirl and businesswoman, silly and serious - I am definitely more than meets the eye and everybody is so much more than the sum of his or her own parts (thank you, Aristotle). So my logo is meant to express just that. Two different fonts, not in line but on top of each other. Everything is always changing, but I believe this logo completely sums up and graphically represents the essence of my blog. Yay!

Willkommen, liebste Leser, zu meinem neuen Blogdesign! Ja, ich hatte das Gefühl, dass es mal wieder an der Zeit war, den Look meines Lieblingsplatzes im ganzen Internet zu erneuern, eine Stilrichtung zu finden, mit der ich noch zufriedener bin, die dabei aber nicht die Ausdrucksstärke meiner Artikel in den Hintergrund stellt. Das neue Design sollte vor allem eines: Sinn ergeben.

Der Hintergrund soll an einen hellen Tisch erinnern, auf dem ihr meinen Blog sozusagen als Zeitung liegen habt und bei einem Kaffee lest. Ich wünschte, ich könnte meinen Blog als Druckversion einmal in den Händen halten. Das ist mein vielleicht größter Traum, hehe. Der Hintergrund ist jetzt ein wenig interessanter als der schlichte, weiße, den ich die letzten Jahre hatte. Er ist aber immer noch ruhig und unauffällig genug, dass er im Blogdesign nicht stört.
Das neue Logo - ja, das ist eine ganz andere Geschichte. Ich war bisher immer sehr zufrieden mit meinen Logos (die "berühmtesten" waren dabei natürlich das kringelige Logo, welches zum ersten Mal den kleinen Hasen zur Seite hatte, und dann natürlich das handgeschriebene, das dem ganzen einen persönlicheren Touch verleihen sollte), aber ich wollte etwas, das noch mehr Sinn für mich und meinen Blog ergab. Wisst ihr, was ich meine?
Also setzte ich mich hin und führte eine lange, ausgiebige Debatte mit mir selbst, um herauszufinden, wofür mein Blog aktuell eigentlich steht. Mein Blog ist abwechslungsreich. Ich möchte euch immer beide Seiten der Medaille zeigen und niemals monoton oder einseitig sein. Ich möchte der Welt beweisen, dass manche Dinge, die man im ersten Moment vielleicht nie zusammen bringen würde, zusammen tatsächlich sogar noch besser sind. Und selbst, wenn Katzen und Hunde generell nicht so gut miteinander auskommen, manchmal werden sie halt doch beste Freunde!

Und das ist es, was ich versuche, euch jeden Tag näher zu bringen: Musik und Mode, Rock'n'Roll Pirat und Primaballerina, Tattoos und Designerkleider, Star Trek/Doctor Who Fangirl und Businessfrau, bescheuert und seriös - in mir steck viel mehr, als man vielleicht erwarten würde und ein jeder ist einfach immer so viel mehr als die Summe seiner Teile (danke dafür, Aristoteles). Mein Logo soll genau das ausdrücken. Zwei verschiedene Schriftarten, nicht nebeneinander, sondern übereinander gesetzt. Alles ist immer im Wandel, aber ich glaube ernsthaft, dass dieses Logo den Inhalt meines Blogs perfekt zusammenfasst und grafisch ideal darstellt. Juhu!

Wie findet ihr das neue Design? Nervig oder ist eine Veränderung auch manchmal etwas Gutes? (Noch mehr Veränderungen kommen übrigens bald, ahhhh!) Erzählt doch mal und genießt vorher noch ein paar Fotos, die ich vor kurzem in London geknipst habe. Es war (wie immer) fantastisch in meiner Lieblingsstadt, die im Frühling noch tausend mal schöner ist!!
