Berlin #4: Gardens

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:
Its loveliness increases; it will never
Pass into nothingness;

John Keats, 1818

Before leaving Berlin in August, there are still so many things to do and to see. Some of which I have never seen or done, some I just really wish to see or do again. One of these things I really needed to do again was to visit Berlin's very own botanical garden in the south-west of the city. And because the weather was fine, last Sunday we took a trip there and spent the afternoon walking and talking, relaxing and enjoying the sound of birds and the silence of the wind in the grass and trees. We marvelled at the most astonishing flowers in the greenhouse and felt very small next to the biggest leaves of some huge palm tree. Of course, we also snapped some pictures; my boyfriend mainly of me, I mainly of the flowers, so this will be the first of 3 articles about these gardens - just because I have so many pictures to share with all of you!

I hope you enjoy this little excursion to the jungle with me looking like an impersonated flowerbed as well, thanks to the pretty (but veeeery short) Sheinside dress. Whoops, I guess with my European height, I'm meant to wear these "dresses" much rather as shirts. I guess, next time a leggins or shorts will do the trick - but it was so goddamn hot in that greenhouse!
