Heatwave

Swimsuit Romwe 4

In the heat of summer, going for a swim in the lake now and again is a necessity to me. I prefer the soft natural water to the chlorine water at the swimming pools and the soft grass and sand by the water to stone floors and wooden benches at the pool. And I really don’t mind the little fish, either.

So when I get the chance to take some pictures of me wearing swimming gear, I think it’s a nice and fresh change to all the other outfit posts of the year. One swimming dress outfit a year really should be possible I thought, so here it is.
And instead of simply putting on a bathing suit and jumping into the waves, I thought going a little more for a James Bond-inspired look could be cool – thus the belt. Although, actually, I had to wear the belt so that the swimsuit wouldn’t stand away from my body so much – I think it was made for girls with a little shorter torso, because yep, this one is pretty short indeed.

Anyway, I love the palm tree print on the bathing suit and even though I know it (and the lion print one I was showing you in an earlier post) was inspired by all the swimsuits from the s/s 2013 We Are Handsome lookbook as well as the bathing suits by Black Milk, I went for a more affordable version by Romwe. I simply can’t afford a swimsuit for several hundred Euros at the moment – sad as it is. I’m saying it’s rather sad because I’m at a stage in my life where indeed, I sometimes can afford designer clothes, but unfortunately not every month. So I have to make decisions on what to spend my money on. And the agenda didn’t include a very expensive swimsuit this year – the MacBook Air and a Mulberry bag come first, hehe.

  5. That swimsuit is absolutely gorgeous - especially the back. I love that women can wear one pieces now and be totally hot about it - I often feel like there's a lot of strange pressure to wear bikinis.

  7. Wow! Der Badeanzug sieht super aus! :) Und steht dir blendend! :)

  15. Ooh That swimsuit is very nice! And I like the combo with The belt but... it should be a little uncomfortable to swim, right?
By the way, the photos are very nice, but I think I'd be afraid to swim in a lake ... I don't know what is down there! haha x)
