Learning By Doing

Goosecraft leather jacket outfit post pink and white 4

"Nobody's perfect... just yet!"

If you are a styling, fashion and outfit-blogger like myself, you probably know that finding someone to take your daily outfit pictures is soo hard. Usually, it goes like this:
"Will you pleeeaasee take some outfit pictures for my blog? Pleaseeeee, it'll only take 15 minutes! I'll buy you a coffee afterwards. I really won't complain..." etc. etc. Sounds familiar? Okay, so this is how it went for me probably ever since I've started this blog in 2008. Nobody EVER wanted to take my pictures, even if they were REALLY good at doing it! But they didn't enjoy it at all, so it usually wasn't a lot of fun for either of us.

It always went like this. Always, until now. I still can't believe my luck! Now, I've ACTUALLY found someone who WANTS to understand the camera, who cares about perspective and who is really eager to learn which is probably the best thing about it. He asked me to take my pictures and I was like "WHOA, wait... WHAT? YES, THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!" I was so excited!

So today and the day after tomorrow, I'll show you the first two outfits he ever photographed for me and I'm sure you'll see the amazing development he underwent in only one day! The first set of pictures, these ones here, are his first ever go at taking outfit pictures. Of course there are some minimal problems involved here: brightness, contrast, sharpness, perspective are all yet to be perfected. You can probably see it in the pictures yourselves. But then again, the weather was terrible that hour and the sun was beginning to set, so the light was a very difficult one for starters.

Taking this into account, I have to say these pictures are lovely, even if they are not yet perfect! Don't you think he did a really fine job, though? I think so... but still, wait for the follow-up on this post - the second set he shot for me is AMAZING!

By the way, this jacket is fantastic, isn't it? It's from Dutch brand Goosecraft and they have some incredibly nice biker jackets in their shop! I'm a big fan of this brand and you should really check them out, too!!

WAS?

Was meint ihr dazu?
