Stradivarius All-Over

Stradivarius #str2yearsonline outfit barcelona spain 3

Summer, Sun and Florals!

An all-over Stradivarius outfit? Well, almost all-over... the Proenza-bag, obviously, is not from Stradivarius. But everything else is! Totally fell for this light-weigh floral jacket, perfect to throw over on hot summer days as the ones we had in Barcelona. The dungarees underneath made me feel a little uncomfortable at first because they made me feel so very "undressed". But as the day grew hotter, I was really happy I had chosen something as light as this outfit. The funny thing is that the bandeau-top underneath the dungarees looks almost like it belongs to the pants - very cool effect, don't you think?

By the way, these pictures were taken by the fabulous Adenorah with her perfect CANON EOS 5D camera - wows, the queen of all cameras, really! Do you love the pictures as much as I do? Which camera do you prefer for outfit pictures? Let's talk essential blogger-equipment today!

Barcelona Summer Feeling

Barcelona with Stradivarius 19

Even though I'm currently in bed with a fever and a really bad flu; even though I'm missing a special someone a lot and even though autumn is coming all too soon (I've really noticed again this year that I'm SUCH a summer person!), these pictures from our trip to Spain with Stradivarius really keep my heart warm and happy for just a bit longer. Sun, summer and a relaxing Yoga-session with Rituals cosmetics on a Catamaran before Barcelona - we truly had a great time! Not to forget our drive around the city with a couple of Mini-cars - so much fun! More pictures and musings about my trip soon - for now, wish me health!!

Melt! Festival 2013

Melt! Festival 2013 Ferropolis 16

Do you still remember when two weeks ago, Crocs had sent me to Melt! festival? Okay, you probably do! Well, today I'm giving you a wrap up on the whole event by showing you some beautiful pictures I shot during the festival along with yet another one of my favourite comfy summer party outfits.

This time, I went for something really laid back: simple denim cut-offs, a sheer white blouse and the colourful Crocs sandals to add a slight bit of funkiness to my look. How do you like the outfit? Suitable for a high summer live music event?

I must say, despite all the criticism concerning festivals I gave you all some posts ago, it was really great down there nonetheless! Melt! is a huge but super great festival and definitely worth a visit if you've never been there before! I for my part am happy I went there once in my life (even if it'll stay the only time I ever went there, but it doesn't matter, hehe).

Now then, sit back, relax and enjoy a bunch of colourful Melt! pictures! Can you feel some of the magical atmosphere in these pictures?

Festival Pros And Cons

Melt! Festival outfit 1 with Crocs 8

Today, I want to talk to you about my personal pros and cons about music festivals. Obviously, the reason for this is my hanging out at Melt! Festival with Crocs this past weekend and boy, I have a lot to tell!

Let’s talk about the pros first, though. What do I love about festivals? First of all, the music – of course! I love music like mad!! Going to a festival with a great line-up is one of the most ideal opportunities to see a whole bunch of your favourite bands at the same place, in a short period of time and all things considered, for a lot less money than seeing each of them in single concerts. At Melt!, we had MS MR, Kraftklub, Woodkid, Atoms For Peace, Babyshambles, James Blake and many more…

Secondly, the atmosphere at these gigs is usually fantastic. The crowd is in party mood, everybody is excited and totally enjoying themselves. This brings along one of the major problems as well, but more about that later.

And last but not least, hanging out with your friends as if you were on a school trip is priceless and a festival is the perfect place for this. You can do BBQs, relax in the sun, paint your friends funny little pen tattoos, go for a dip in the lake, dance and sing together – what a beautiful opportunity to spend some quality time with your favourite people!

BUT there are some cons I really noticed when I went to this festival, more than 5 years after my last festival experience and they need to be considered as well…
Mainly, and I don’t want to sound like a snobby little princess, but it is true, the dirt, the smell and all the drunk teenagers really pissed me off. I tried to accept it, I really did, but a whole place that smells of shit and has tons of people lying around in their own vomit really turned my stomach upside down. Also, being asked every minute if I wanted to sell or wanted to buy some drugs annoyed the hell out of me – NO, THANKS, me no sell or buy anything!

Secondly, some of the bands seemed a little too bored, a little too distant and weren’t really engaging with the crowd, even though the light shows looked brilliant and the people were totally happy(ly drunk). That of course didn’t count for all the bands, some were brilliant, but now that I re-watched some of the gigs on the telly, I found that I was a wee bit underwhelmed.

And finally, well, I feel I’ve become a little too comfortable for such hardcore outside activities, eating shit food and being drunk all of the time. I’m not interested in these kinds of things anymore. Also, I never really liked that sort of school-trip atmosphere. And also, I didn’t really have my besties along with me, so even that was left out because I was there for a brand.

So all things considered, I think I prefer concerts to festivals, hotel rooms to tents and restaurants to canned beans. But that’s just me, I’ve become too comfortable and probably boring, haha. I had a great time, anyway and will show you some more pictures of my Melt! experience in the following posts!

I was wearing Crocs sneakers, Replay jeans via Sojeans, a Sheinside lace top, Topshop western belt and my Diane von Furstenberg mini Harper bag. How do you like this look we shot in the most beautiful sunset? And what are you? PRO festival or CON festival??? Let me know!

simpleswirl1

Was mag ich an Festivals eigentlich?

Sagt mal!
