Berlin #3: Mitte

"Paris is always Paris and Berlin is never Berlin!"

Welcome to a new Berlin-article! Today, not a restaurant presentation or a sweets fair but an area of Berlin that is a must-visit for anyone who comes by this city. The area between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt is well-known for being both overcrowded on weekends but also for being very well worth visiting. The Berliner Dom is one of the most impressive buildings I've seen in Berlin so far. Not very filigreed but rich of detail and such a sight to watch which is the reason for thousands of tourists visiting the Dome on a daily basis.
Nearby, you can find the Museumsinsel which serves as the home of most of the big museums of Berlin. It's brilliant, because they're all in one place and thus, you only have to make your choice upon arriving. Furthermore, the arcades surrounding the Museumsinsel have often served as the background for my outfit pictures. A lovely place!

Willkommen zu einem neuen Berlin-Artikel! Heute gibt es einmal keine Restaurantvorstellung oder eine Süßgkeitenmesse, sondern eine Ecke von Berlin, die man dringend besuchen sollte, wenn man hier ist. Der Bereich zwischen Alexanderplatz und Hackescher Markt ist bekannt dafür, an Wochenenden komplett überfüllt zu sein, ist aber zugleich ein Ort, den man einfach besucht haben muss, wenn man sich in die Hauptstadt verirrt. Der Berliner Dom ist eines der beeindruckendsten Gebäude, die ich bis dato in Berlin gesehen habe. Nicht filigran, aber extrem detailreich und wunderschön anzusehen ist er und lockt damit täglich tausende von Besuchern an.
Nebenan findet ihr dann auch gleich die Museumsinsel, die als Heimat für die meisten großen Museen in Berlin dient. Das ist großartig, denn man muss sich erst für ein Museum entscheiden, wenn man dort angekommen ist. Außerdem haben die Arkaden, die die Insel umsäumen, schon sehr oft als Hintergrund für meine Outfitfotos gedient. Ein schöner Ort!
